We're all going to do it at some time or another, whether in class or in our real world experiences - troubleshooting that is. While there are many different forms of troubleshooting with website creation the two I chose to focus on are website SEO and HTML editors.
Searchenginewatch.com is a great resource for all of your optimization needs. When it comes to the actual number of pages on the internet the numbers are mind boggling, so optimizing your page for the best search results is crucial. If your site is performing poorly in search engine results searchenginewatch.com has all sorts of troubleshooting tips and tricks to help boost your rankings.
For example, if you are creating or taking over a site with frames chances are your search results will not rank too high since most crawlers cannot properly read frames. Searchenginewatch.com shows you how to use things like Meta tags and sitemaps to make it easier for bots to crawl each and every frame within your site.
The other troubleshooting site I found has to do with HTML editors. It is very important now days to be able to troubleshoot your editor. Since the advent of WYSIWYGs, knowing source codes is no longer a requirement in web page creation. Knowing how to navigate and manipulate your editor, on the other hand, is of the utmost importance.
Dwfaq.com provides troubleshooting for industry's standard editor, Dreamweaver. This is another place you can troubleshooting tips about frames. The only difference is, with searchenginewatch.com you can troubleshoot your SEO problems and with dwfaq.com you can find out how to properly implement frames into your website, as well as, design and manipulate content with frames within your page.
The two “good” principles I focused on in my site centers around my text. Even though I changed to color of my background from the default color, I feel that there is enough contrast between the text and background not to cause a readability issue. I gave my site background a two tone look to further give the text a little more pop and make it even easier to read.
Then I proceeded to “push” the text away from the edge of the web page. I agree with course textbook that placing the text to close to the edge, for some reason, is just irritating. I added just a little bit of cell spacing in my table to make this page a more pleasant read.
